Finally got some copies printed of the second ish! even though it has been done for quite some time (I took a break to fix a lot of things in the first issue). So I have the idea, a faint glimpse of a world and characters I would now have to bring to life. My first instinct was to start thumbnailing, but I found that this process was too slow for writing, so instead, I decided to write each and every shot down, creating a shot list. Like a movie, I played the story in my mind, trusting my instinct to guide me on my journey. I began, and let cause and effect take over, always keeping in the back of my mind the heart of my story, human nature.

I've been playing Mega Man 5 for the past couple months and still have yet to beat it. Not that I'm the best gamer in the world, but I can usually get through a modern game in a couple weeks, which isn't as much fun for me as some of these old platform games that are actually challenging! I have a lot more to say on this subject, but for now I have to get back to defeating the evil Dr. Wiley!

Picked up "UTU" by Malachi Ward last week from Secret Headquarters. Awesome, rad, sweet. Love the art, dudes got a cool style, story is a fantasy sci-fi tale, don't want to give too much away, but very interesting conclusion to say the least.

Well since my last update, I moved to a new apartment, recorded two E.P.'s with two different bands, worked a full time job, and drew 42 pages of comics!

I'm really pleased with this issue so far, still have to do all the scanning and formatting, but should have it on the shelves in a couple weeks! A little late, since I was shooting to have it done by the end of Summer, but late is still better than never.

Once upon a time in a galaxy far, far away, I was watching HARRY POTTER 3 and had a revelation. The Werewolf character in the movie was a huge inspiration for my story. He had so many weaknesses as a character and inner struggles, I thought what a great metaphor for human nature. Being a human myself ; ) I was inspired to write my own Werewolf story, not because I am any more a Werewolf fan than the next, but because for the first time, one of my stories had a heart.

LIVING DOGS is a graphic novel written and illustrated by Tommy Saxe, and will be self released quarterly as a seven part series in 2011-2012.

The story is a fun take on the Werewolf genre. Playing with all the familiar themes, LIVING DOGS tells a story about human nature, and a man whose desire to do good may not be enough to save those dearest to him, or himself.

The first issue will be released in early Spring 2011, and will be sold online, and in select comic book stores throughout the Los Angeles area.

For quite some time I have been working on my first graphic novel LIVING DOGS. It's a fun take on the Werewolf genre, written an illustrated by yours truly. I will be releasing it in seven parts, and the first chapter is getting ready to hit the shelves!
